Camellia Design Studio’s owner and principal designer, Mary Constance Fishback thrives on creating unique interiors, always finding a balance between traditional and modern designs that are at once relevant and timeless.

Her meticulous work is defined by a talent for incorporating heirloom pieces with sensational new finds and an ability to craft spaces that are thoughtfully curated. Above all, she always goes the extra mile for her clients, selecting finishes and pieces that offer the special look they are seeking and that reflect who they are and how they want to live.

Mary is an Allied member of ASID and the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA). She lives in Gaithersburg, Maryland with her husband Dave and their lovable golden retriever Penny.

Mary is an interior designer who feels so lucky and grateful to be able to do what she loves every day.

Although she was drawn to interior design for as long as she can remember, she began her career in the corporate world of contract management. Happily, after many years she decided to make her passion a reality by enrolling in the interior design program at Montgomery College, diligently taking classes at night and on weekends while continuing to work full-time. Mary completed her studies just one month after retiring from her job in contracts. She launched Camellia Design Studio that same month and was immediately off to a great start, creating interiors that help people love where they live.
